How To Use Dilution Control Systems

Updated: Jan 27, 2023

Are you thinking about using a Dilution Control System (DCS) to help cut cost, but are unsure about how it works? If so this article is for you. This quick read will show you the entire prosses, step by step, from install to use. (EMax 4P for example)

Installation:

  1. When looking for a place to install a DCS, ensure it is close to a water source. Removing to wall bracket from the packaging, mark and drill three 5/16" mounting holes. After installing the anchors, secure the bracket to the wall with the included screws and washers. NOTE: Distance from top of bracket to top of cabinet is 1/8"

  2. Place cabinet onto wall bracket aligning the tabs with the slots on the top of the cabinet. Make sure the center snaps in place on the cabinet. Mark two holes using the two lower holes as guides. After removing the cabinet from the wall, drill two more 5/16" holes and install the anchors.

  3. Select metering tips for each selector valve (up to four). Firmly push each tip into a hose barb extending from the selector valve. (See chart below to decide what tip(s) you need)

  4. Cut the included supply tube into separate supply tubes for each product you wish to dispense. Use "Y" fittings to connect both high and low flow eductor to a single container. Supply tubes should reach from the hose barb on the eductor select valve to the bottom of the container. Additionally, Supply tubes should be routed through the circle notch in the back of the shelf. NOTE: Arrow on in-line check valves should be pointed toward the eductor.

  5. The short discharge tube is used with the 1.0 GPM eductor and should be a minimum of 8". Longer tubes are used with the 3.5 GPM eductor and should be about 4' in length. Do not remove flooding rings from inside the tubes. Hose hook included to easily hang the longer hose.

  6. Connect the system to the water supply with a hose at least 3/8". (Min 25 PSI, Max 85 PSI, Max Temp 120° F)

  7. Place cabinet back onto wall bracket, screwing the bottom into place.

  8. Optional drip tray can be installed by aligning the four tabs with the slots on the bottom of the cabinet, then push down.

Use:

  1. Connect opposite end of water inlet hose to water supply then turn it on.

  2. Purge the air from the system by pressing the buttons for short bursts. Water may discharge until the air is purged.

  3. To operate button fill units, press the button to dispense the product and release it to stop the flow. If you wish to lock the button in the "on" position, press the button then slide the button lock up. To unlock, press the button and release.
